ArtOrg has experienced fast growth since its inception less than 1 year ago. We have well over 125 members, have offered over 100 classes, held about 85% of those classes, given over 7 exciting shows in our Moving Walls Gallery at 200 Division Street, have 7 business partners and received a couple of grants to run a children’s program this summer. Thanks for helping contribute to that success!<\/p>\n
While we feel good about these past accomplishments, we also feel that a new organizational structure will help ArtOrg serve you even better in the future.<\/p>\n
So, on Wednesday, May 25 the ArtOrg Board of Directors decided by consensus that we would replace the old board with a new set of board members. This would change the board composition from the present 3 people to 9. This will be a great group of individuals comprised of all parts of the community\u2014and many of this new board have already agreed to serve and are excited about taking over.<\/p>\n
Heather Robins has also decided to leave the Director position, as Leanne Stremcha is also leaving ArtOrg as of June 1 st . We all want to thank Heather and Leanne for their great work in helping ArtOrg grow. Dave Machacek is staying on as staff to assist the transition process and facilitate a continuation of gallery shows, classes and other planned ArtOrg activities.<\/p>\n
