The Rochester Downtown Alliance put out a call in January for artists to paint original concepts for six of Rochester&#8217;s downtown skyways.  The contest was called the 2008 Rochester &#8220;Art in The Sky&#8221; competition, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artorg.info\">ArtOrg<\/a> was selected to paint two sides of one skyway&#8211;the westernmost skyway over 2nd Street SW.  The skyway itself is about 100 feet long&#8211;and artist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chibitoaster.com\">Rana Raeuchle<\/a> came up with the final design.  Rana is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/artorg\/sets\/72157603347862317\/\">artist and art director of the Trader Joe&#8217;s <\/a>in Woodbury and has also led ArtOrg&#8217;s annual <a href=\"https:\/\/artorg.info\/?page_id=81\">Japanese Animation Festival<\/a>.   There will be a media event in downtown Rochester on June 19 regarding the project, and the art is projected to stay up for anywhere from three months to one year.
