John Berkey, Mary GrandPre

ArtOrg is pleased to have held exhibits for the very special and well-known Minnesota artists John Berkey and Mary GrandPre.

ArtOrg held the first significant gallery show of Mr. John Conrad Berkey, from November 4, 2005 to January 13, 2006. The show was a great success and we thank John, Demi and the Berkey family for this wonderful opportunity. Most of the pieces in the show, as well as an extensive collection of other works, are being made into giclee art prints. Please check with us for details.

ArtOrg also held an exhibit from the artist of the Harry Potter books Mary Grandpre twice, in fall of 2004 and also in July of 2005. The last show coincided with the release of the last Harry Potter book, and on the first evening attracted 550 visitors in the first two hours of the show. Mary also came to teach our summer art camp for kids, and we produced a 75 minute video from her class. Please contact us if you would like a showing of this video for your organization. In the video, Mary taught our students how to develop characters, use pastels, and to draw the character of Harry Potter. There is also an original stone lithograph from Mary that is contained in The First Edition–A Suite of Stone Lithographic Prints, which is available on the online gallery, as well, under the artist named “ArtOrg”.
