Work of Art Class Series starts this Friday

Springboard for the Arts is a well-known and established advocate for artists and their careers. Springboard’s entire 9-segment class series starts off this Friday evening at ArtOrg in Northfield. The classes are split into three sections that are all held on a Friday night/Saturday morning and afternoon schedule. ArtOrg has structured this entire set of classes to provide the most benefit to artists. Please take advantage of this wonderful opportunity!

WORK OF ART SERIES Part I

Career Planning for Artists
Friday, Feb. 9, 6: 30 pm – 8: 30 pm

Where do you want to be- both artistically and professionally? This session concentrates on examining your career and developing a well-thought-out career plan. Learn how to define your career path and develop goals and strategies for achieving your objectives.

Time Management for Creative People
Saturday, Feb. 10, 9: 30 am – 11: 30 am

Are you a right-brained person living in a left-brained world? We will recommend approaches for getting control of your day, creating work time, and reaching your artistic goals.

Professional Presentation
Saturday, Feb. 10, 1: 30 pm – 3: 30 pm

This session focuses on promotional materials: your business card, artist statement, artistic résumé, and your portfolio. We will talk about targeting your resume, choosing a work sample (slides vs. CD, etc.) and composing the catalog page that accompanies it. We’ll discuss documentation techniques
and effective uses of promotional materials. Artists are encouraged to bring promotional materials along for review.
