The ArtOrg collaborative print project called the “Twenty Views of Dundas” was recently accepted into the permanent collection of the Fredrick R. Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota. We congratulate not only the artists and printers of the set, but also the people of Dundas who welcomed us into their homes, family photo albums, and historical records. Each of the twenty-one artists interpreted an aspect of the City’s history in a work of art, and working together with an art printer, created hand-pulled sets of prints in a very limited edition size. In this way, important aspects of Dundas have been memorialized in art, and made accessible to many to contemplate and enjoy for years to come.

Artists who participated in the suite are Carolyn Swiszcz, Diane Schrader, Fred Hagstrom, Alexander Hage, Fred Somers, Carol Van Sickle, Gaylord Schanilec, Hope Cook, James Boyd-Brent, John Saurer, Kari Alberg, Lilla Johnson, Mac Gimse, Marty Harris, Meg Ojala, Ray Jacobson, Scott King, Scott West, Sharol Nau and Pat Lampe, David Burt, and Xavier Tavera. Principal Printer for the set was Steven Nuno Nunez. The Twenty Views of Dundas is the second ArtOrg project accessioned by the Weisman; the first was the set of 13 large works from the 2006 Northfield Day of the Dead Steamroller Prints project. The Twenty Views of Dundas fine-art print suite is available on the ArtOrg website. Please hold the date Saturday, November 14th open for a soon-to-be-announced special event centered around the Twenty Views.
