1200 New Artworks Created

By Dave Machacek

If nineteen June days could talk, they would probably boast they created many new prints. Our run of steamroller printing at 19 venues in 20 days turned out very well, and we estimate that we helped artists create nearly 1200 new works. Almost 900 of these prints were made for branches of the Great River Regional Library based in St. Cloud, 200 for a Minneapolis Institute of Arts family day, and about 100 for a City of Dundas celebration. We captured nearly every work by digital photo, and those photos have now been posted on our website. We would like to give heartfelt thanks to our sponsors The Great River Regional Library, The Minneapolis Institute of Arts, The Dundas Historical Society, and of course Forecast Public Art and Graphic Chemical and Ink. Special thanks go to steamroller printers extraordinaire Brooke Vertin, Ben Finley, Steven Nuno Nunez, Rana Raeuchele, Allen Raeuchele, Therese Sexe, Sam Hage, and the great staff and volunteers at each venue. And, where the Minnesota Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund support was used, we thank the residents of the great State if Minnesota!
